| Program Description | | NOAA’s mission is to understand and predict changes in the Earth’s and conserve and manage coastal and marine resources to meet our nation’s economic, social and environmental needs. One of NOAA’s missions-supporting goals to protect, restore, and manage the use of coastal and ocean resources through an ecosystem approach to management. In that context, the National Sea Grant College Program (Sea Grant) is seeking applications for one of its fellowship programs to fill its broad educational responsibilities and to strengthen collaboration between Sea Grant and NMFS. Fellows will work on thesis problems of public interest and relevance to NMFS and work with NMFS mentors at participating NMFS Science Centers and Labratories. The program priorities for this opportunity support NOAA’s mission support—Protect, Restore and Manage Use of Coastal and Ocean Resources through Ecosystem –based management. |
