Program DescriptionNational Wildlife Refuge System’s new community-based environmental education initiative. Grants of up to $5,000 will be awarded on a competitive basis to support start-up expenses associated with new programs. In addition, grants of up to $3,000 will be awarded on a competitive basis to provide continued support to existing Nature of Learning programs. Funding can be used for transportation, supplies, stipends, and contractual services.
This program seeks educational organizations that will partner with a national refuge and the local community for the proposed project. Projects should be interdisciplinary and tied to state and national standards.
